  • 2013

The 2013 event season started out very wet (Tweseldown), then very cold (Great Witchingham), and then got underway with some good weather and great conditions.

The top 3, Matrix W, Mr Bond and Spring Sensation II (Matrix, James and Nel) have performed well this season. After a disappointing season last year, with so many cancellations due to the weather, its been great to have a really good run so far - events include; Great Witchingham International, South of England, Belton Park, Chatsworth International, Chilham Castle and Tattersalls.

The 'babies' Final Try and Beltons Darco DeLuxe have done really well - Both horses (know as Bean and Dee-Dee) have had previous careers but are now enjoying life as event horses!

Bean is an ex-racehorse who ran 9 flat races during the 10/11 season as a 4 year old and his rehabilitation program is going really well. He is thoroughly enjoying his work, and performs well, calmly and workman like at competitions. Bean has performed consistently well at BE90 and is now ready to move on to BE100.

Dee-Dee has only been at the yard for a few months, but his dressage is really coming on well and his showjumping is also really improved. Cross-country was a totally new experience for Dee-Dee, and he is also doing really well at this phase too - he is a lovely horse with a big personality and has exciting propects ahead of him.
