The weekend of Brightling was a busy one with 7 horses from the yard competing! 6 with Anna, and 1 with Emma Svantesson (Anna's groom) - so all hands were on deck to help!

It was a fantastic weekend, preceeded with a day out for James, Matrix and Hector at Kent County Show who were competing in a 1.25m show jumping class - all 3 horses were great, and Matrix performed brilliantly, with a super double clear putting him in 3rd place!

Brightling Saturday was the main day of the weekend with 4 horses competing at BE100 - A super win for Amelia Green's Fernhill Pye with a fantastic score of 27, double clear and no time penalties was his best outing yet - Anna also had great rides with the other 3, Final Try, Dee-Dee, and Two Tone Artist - who all had good dressage scores, and 1 or 2 poles down in the show jumping and lovely clear cross country rounds...

Matrix and James did their CIC** dressage on Saturday afternoon - James lost marks on his otherwise lovely test by having a bit of a trantrum in the counter canter, and Matrix did a nice calm test which resulted in a good score of 50.7 - He had a couple of poles down in the showjumping, which pushed him out of the placings, but had a fabulous clear cross country.

James was clear show jumping, and had 20 penalties in the xc so redeemed himself slightly after his paddy on Saturday.

Its always disappointing when the horses have an 'off moment', particularly on home ground - but none the less, it was still an excellent weekend, and they all performed brilliantly - roll on the next one!!!!
